Journey Into Japan

Morrell Adventures has been conducting fabulous cycling tours in Japan since 1985.  Each cycling tour in Japan promises to provide lifelong memories.  Your host, John Morrell, has designed several tours of rural Japan that capture both fantastic riding but also the rich culture of Japan.  His 11-day tours cater to cycling enthusiastists whilst his 6-day rides are for more casual riders.

The Shikoku tour is a prime example: Cycle along paths once trodden by samurai warriors.  Explore classic Asian mountain ranges and the stunning Iya Gorge with its traditional thatch roofed homes. Pass chanting pilgrims and visit classic temples and castles redolent of ancient Japan. Explore small villages that hang precariously on mountain sides with their backdrop of terraced rice paddies. Climb the highest mountain in western Japan and travel along Japan’s last pure river.  Stay in wonderful Japanese inns.
