It's blindingly obvious to us but it may be news to you:

Adult geared bicycles come in different sizes just like shoes and clothing.  And getting the right sized bike is equally as important as getting the right bike.

Many people get lulled into thinking close enough is good enough.  Indeed you can be OK on one sized bike but actually much better on the next size up or down.  It gets down to things like your body proportions and what sort of riding you want to do.  Many want comfort.  Others want performance and handling.

And even with the best sized bike, you can still be totally out of sorts when the saddle and handlebars aren't positioned to your body's dimensions.

Sadly, too often people come to us to fix up the mess.  Their neck and shoulders ache.  Their legs hurt.  Their hands are numb.  Sometimes the remedy is a simple adjustment; usually it means different parts.  Other times a new bike is the only solution.  We hope you'll avoid the hassle and hidden expenses of low/no-service outlets and choose us from the outset.

At Renegade Cycles we have an easy process that we take you through to make sure your new bike is the best size and that it is adjusted to your body and your riding style.  With our experience, it usually doesn't take long.  But for the times when a centimetre here or there is crucial we have the expertise to provide you with the best possible ride.  (If you want to learn more on the subject please read our Bike Buying Guide.)

If you need to be fitted to your existing bike, we offer a bike set up for $75.00. If there are any parts to be purchased, this can be subtracted from the set up cost.

If you would like to visit us & have the optimum set up for your riding style, all you need to do is make an appointment, and bring your bike, shoes & riding gear in.
