By Bicycle

There is bicycle parking immediately in front of our shop.

The Lane Cove municipality has a network of local on-road cycleways. You can view the map at Lane Cove Cycleways.

From the East / City / Gore Hill / North Sydney / Chatswood

The network connects to the Gore Hill Cycleway and to Willoughby Council's cycleways network to the east and north. To connect to the CBD please see the North Sydney Council Bike Map.

From the West / Epping

In May 2008, the Epping Road Cycleway will connect Lane Cove to the west.

You can also get to Burns Bay Road via Lane Cove West's residential streets:

1) After passing the Shell service station on your right and then the light at Sam Johnston Way you'll come to Moore Street.
2) Turn right into Moore Street and go down the short hill.
3) Turn Left into Barwon Road and proceed up the hill.
4) Cross Centennial Ave at the lights. The street name will change to Fig Tree Street.
5) Take the next left which is Burns Bay Road and come up the hill to our shop.

From the South / Gladesville

To the south, unfortunately cycling infrastructure is scarce. The government’s 2010 bike plan which includes a regional cycling route from Lane Cove to the Gladesville Bridge doesn’t look like it’s going to meet its deadline for completion.

By Public Transport

There are frequent bus services which stop on Epping Road at Longueville Road near Phoenix Street. These include the 254, 288, 290, and 292 services. (If you are on the 254 get off at Longueville Road near Central Street. It’s right by the Plaza.) We are a 5-minute walk away. Just walk down Longueville Road. At the crosswalk opposite the Plaza, cross Longueville Road and walk through the Plaza. At the next street, cross and continue past the Post Office and you’ll find us. From Chatswood and Hunters Hill, the 536 service stops just down the block from us at the “Lane Cove Shops Set Down”.

The nearest train station is Artarmon which is about 2 kilometres from the shop.

If you are close to ferry services, Greenwich is the nearest wharf. It’s about 5 kilometres from the shop.

By Motor Vehicle

From North Ryde. If you are travelling in on the M2 exit at Delhi Road to access Epping Road. Take Epping Road to Longueville Road. Turn right and then immediately turn right again into Birdwood Lane. The entrance to Rosenthal Car Park is on your left. We are a 3-minute walk away.

From Chatswood. Take Pacific Highway to Epping Road. Turn right into Epping Road. Stay in the left lane and turn left at the next set of lights which is Longueville Road. After turning into Longueville Road immediately turn right into Birdwood Lane. The entrance to Rosenthal Car Park is on your left. We are a 3-minute walk away.

From the Lower North Shore. Take Falcon Street or Pacific Highway to River Road. Take River Road to Tambourine Bay Road and turn right. At the top of the hill turn right at the roundabout. This is Burns Bay Road. On your right you can take the ramp down and park behind Coles. Alternatively if you have roof racks and are carrying bikes, at the roundabout go straight and then veer left into Sutherland Street. You can park on the street here. We are a 3-minute walk away.

From Gladesville Bridge or Victoria Road. Take Burns Bay Road toward Lane Cove. Go straight through the Hunters Hill underpass and cross Fig Tree Bridge. At the top of the hill at the major intersection at the lights (Penrose Street) go straight. After the road veers to the right take the right-turn slip lane opposite the 7-Eleven. This is the continuation of Burns Bay Road. (If you went straight, the road becomes Centennial Avenue) Go up Burns Bay Road to the roundabout. You can turn left and left again for on-street parking on Sutherland Street or go straight and then turn right down the Coles parking ramp. (Height restrictions apply.)

From the city and eastern suburbs. Cross the harbour and continue on the Warringah Expressway. This becomes the Gore Hill Freeway. At the end of the freeway as you approach the Lane Cove Tunnel stay left to access Epping Road and Lane Cove. (Do not go straight into the Lane Cove Tunnel nor take the Pacific Highway northbound exit.) At the first set of lights, turn left into Longueville Road. After turning into Longueville Road immediately turn right again into Birdwood Lane. The entrance to Rosenthal Car Park is on your left. We are a 3-minute walk away.
